The popular online game Farm Town on the social networking and community site Facebook is gaining users daily. Recent estimates have put it in the 13-14 million user per day range, and growing at 3-4% monthly. Friends are telling friends about how fun the game is and to sign up for it as well. But many are asking the same question, looking for a response. That question is:

Obviously in this rough economy we must watch every penny and not overspend on frivolous things such as online games when we have to put food on the table for our family.

The good news is that the Farm Town price is very reasonable - free! At least at this time, while the game is in beta production (pre-release) it is absolutely free to play. The developers are making money on this by placing advertising in the game screen that rotates in and out.

Hopefully the price for Farm Town will remain free when the game comes out of beta development, however only time will tell.
